When the play, Peter Pan, debuted in 1904 London, the actor playing the dual roles of Mr. Darling/Captain Hook was Gerald du Maurier. His daughter Daphne would be born in 1907. Bonus speculation: Alfred Hitchcock, who later built a movie, ‘The Birds’, on Daphne’s Cornwall blueprint, was a 5 year old Londoner in 1904. Was he taken to see Peter Pan? And if not, why not? Such queries as these make up a substantial part of the loon’s mind clutter.
