Of course, she played Mrs. Jordan in the great film, ‘Dinner at 8’.
Naturally, she’ll live forever as Glinda in ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
But can you believe that Billie also:
a. once raced motorcycles with Orville Wright.
b. beat Zelda Fitzgerald in an archery contest.
c. climbed the stairs to the top of the Empire State Building on stilts.
d. could tear the New York City phone directory in half with her bare hands.
I missed those four points when TCM did a series of her movies the other night, so I’m going to guess and say…C. 🙂
