The Tar King, determined to exact revenge on the Simpering Fluff, oozed from the byre, ignoring the frantic cow’s plea to return and the Fluff’s mocking laughter.
‘Never in all my born days have I been so insulted,’ muttered the Tar King. He slugged up the wall, sliming his way onto the roof. There he brooded for a week and then another week more than that. He waited, knowing and believing and hoping one day the Simpering Fluff would float outside.
And, oh happiness, the day arrived. Out of the byre floated the Simpering Fluff, simpering and fluffing for all she was worth and two loads extra. Blorp! Gunked from above by vengeful tar! The Simpering Fluff simpered no more.
