You can’t miss it. Just follow that path until you come to a fork in the road. Pick up the fork and bring it here to me because it’s mine and I dropped it a while ago and couldn’t pick it up myself because my arms were too full of all this other stuff I’m carrying. Then go back down the path and follow it, always keeping to the left, until you come to the river. Swim across the river, close your eyes, count to 10, and swim back. The curse will be lifted, and the magic carpet will appear. You can’t miss it.

Beak Rampart flexed his thigh. That’s all it took. The waters surrounding The Great Stone of Dismay receded along with the hairline of a prominent psychologist. A river of throttled gazelles spewed forth from Hell. The land slid, causing winning. Oh, yeah, there was a cloud, too.

Loon: I danced a jig of joy when they told me today’s celebrity ghost answering 3 questions would be Richard Burton. I mean, Elizabeth Taylor, right? I must say it’s a bit tough recognizing the wispy flutter in front of me as Richard Burton, but you are Richard Burton’s ghost, aren’t you?
Richard Burton’s ghost: I am.
Loon: You don’t sound much like yourself, either. But never mind, let’s get down to the good stuff. When did you first meet Elizabeth Taylor in person?
Richard Burton’s ghost: Elizabeth who?
Loon: Elizabeth Taylor. You married her like a gazillion times.
Richard Burton’s ghost: I did nothing of the sort.
Loon: Come on. Don’t tell me they wiped out your memory when you croaked. Was Elizabeth Taylor a good cook?
Richard Burton’s ghost: I remember every detail of my life; my search for the source of the Nile, my numerous treatises on the customs of native populations, my lifelong study of humanity and philosophy, my abhorrence of Speke. My curiosity was unslakable. Whether this Elizabeth Taylor person was a good cook is one item of knowledge I feel no burning desire to discover.
Loon: So, okay. Chill. Geez, and thanks for the visit, supposedly Richard Burton’s ghost.

Whatever they might have thought of Harding, and Jess was quite aware of the social disdain such people had for simple folk like W. G and his Duchess, the presence of Ohio in that room, with all the state’s wealth not to mention electoral votes, made even the fat small shrill Colonel reverent.
That’s from HOLLYWOOD, his WWI/Roaring ’20s historical novel. The Gore-y voice is loud and clear, eh what? And I thought the Ohio/electoral references were quite topical.

The correct answer is c – imbiber. Of course he was a convicted embezzler and served time in the slammer, but that very fact means he wasn’t an ACCOMPLISHED embezzler. An accomplished embezzler would have never been caught. Therefore a – embezzler, was not the answer the judges were looking for.
